Configuration evidence
Deterministic Comparison, Snapshot capture, monitoring, Rulesets, AI Insights and audit evidence generation.
The ConfigCompare Platform
Capture, compare, understand and govern Microsoft Dynamics 365 configuration with components that each have a clear responsibility.
Platform components
Every component works from the same deterministic evidence while retaining one clearly defined responsibility.
Deterministic Comparison of ERP configuration Snapshots.
pre-upgrade and post-upgrade configuration and metadata analysis.
Snapshot capture capability.
change tracking and change governance workflows.
real-time audit visibility for selected critical configuration areas.
AI-assisted explanation of Deterministic Comparison results.
legacy Dynamics AX and AX 2012 Snapshot and readiness capability.
controlled movement of supported ERP configuration between environments.
central orchestration of Snapshots and Comparisons across multiple Dynamics 365 instances.
Where it starts
A Snapshot is a point-in-time capture of configuration. Every comparison, alert, audit trail and AI explanation on this page is derived from them.
Where AI runs
AI Insights explain Deterministic Comparison results. They run against an API endpoint you control, and AXImprove has no visibility of your Snapshots or Comparisons.
Insights are generated against an API endpoint under your control, inside your own environment.
Generation is on demand, so AI involvement is always an explicit choice rather than a background process.
Snapshots, comparison results and generated insights all remain within your environment.
Comparison logic remains inside the engine. AI explains its output and never performs the Comparison.
From result to owner
Rulesets classify each result by severity and assign Responsibility, per table and per field. The comparison stays deterministic; the Ruleset decides what matters and who is accountable for it.
How the offer is structured
Commercial licensing enables capabilities; it does not redefine them. This keeps the product architecture, governance purpose and commercial model distinct.
Deterministic Comparison, Snapshot capture, monitoring, Rulesets, AI Insights and audit evidence generation.
Adopt lifecycle, audit, support, upgrade, ConfigTrack, ConfigAudit and cross-tenant capabilities against your priorities.
Scale from a single implementation to multi-company, multi-tenant, enterprise or partner-managed governance.
Organisations can begin with one governance priority and expand over time while retaining the same deterministic foundation.
Read the licensing modelValidate configuration as it moves through DEV, TEST, UAT, GOLD and PROD.
Monitor live environments, detect drift and retain evidence for internal control.
Replace assumptions with evidence during UAT, regression testing and incident triage.
Compare configuration and application metadata before and after application change.
Roadmap
These are planned platform directions, clearly separated from currently available D365 Finance & Supply Chain Management capabilities.
Snapshot and comparison capabilities for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Snapshot and Configuration Governance capabilities for Dataverse configuration.
Comparison access for customers and partners outside a core installation.
Standardised Snapshot capture through deterministic ConfigCompare APIs.
Unpacks binary configuration of known formats, such as approval workflow definitions, so their contents become comparable rather than only detected.
A central dashboard in Central Command Center presenting comparison results and governance status across the estate.
Model Context Protocol as an orchestration and access layer for AI-assisted scenarios. It adds no comparison logic.
External extraction of security configuration for Power BI, to compare the access users are granted with the access they actually use.
